"Ok, round 1: get in contention... check"
These were on Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharp's bucket lists after round 1 at this LPGA season finale, the CME Group Tour Championship.
Brooke shot -4 68 T5 while Alena fought back for a -1 71 T22.
Brooke had 3 birdies and a bogey on both nines and used 28 putts which is right on the line in that category.
Alena had 5 birdies sadly 4 bogey's as well.
The leader another South Korean, Sei Young Kim -7 65
Later Brooke was awarded the new Founders Award for the player whose behaviour and deeds best exemplifies the spirit, values and ideals of the LPGA.
