The season wraps up for the LPGA Tour this weekend with the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida and Brooke Henderson (2) and Alena Sharp (46) will wrap up their seasons with it.
Last year Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn swept the board. This year the leader is South Korean star Jin Young Ko who is ranked #1, as well as being the Player of the Year and the ANNIKA Major Award winner (Ana Inspiration and the Evian Championship).
She is also is in the lead to win the Vare Trophy (low scoring average). She was second overall to Ariya last year.
The field is the top 60 and ties based on points accrued during the regular season. The points have been reset this year and the old $1m dollar bonus has been added to the $500,000 1st place prize thus giving anyone of the players to win the whole $1.5m and the Race to CME Globe. In other words the season long points total don't matter this week, it's winner take all.
