Monday wrap

Champions Tour

Mark Calcavecchia has a bit of the John Daly's about him when it comes to losing it..
While Tom Lehman won the the major called Regions Tradition at Shoal Creek as he continues to dominate the Senior Circuit in the absence of Bernhard Langer, Calc really blew it

He started the day in the lead, and at one pint on Saturday he was 9 shots ahead of Lehman. He plays quickly which is a blessing in this era of slow play, but he also plays recklessly, like JD, especially when he runs a little hot under the collar like he did on his way to 75 and a T5. On the last hole he flubbed a chip, 2 putted for bogey and walked off the green without even picking his ball out of the hole..

Lehman beat veteran Aussie Peter Senior in a playoff.
Canuck Rod Spittle was 23rd, 11 shots back..

PGA Tour

Lucas Glover looking like Jeremiah Johnson beat his Clemson college teammate Jonathan Byrd in a playoff as well at Quail Hollow in North Carolina.

I last heard of Lucas when he won that rain soaked US Open at Bethpage in 2009. Apparently he is going through a difficult divorce in his personal life. It looks like she took all the razors, as old Lucas has the full beard going.

More to follow. I am going up to Coppinwood to see my pal Kevin Thistle..
