Donald and Poulter in the final !!

europeantour.com  England's Luke Donald and Ian Poulter, the last two winners of the WGC-Accenture Match Play in Arizona, won through to face each other in the final of the Volvo World Match Play Champoionship in Spain.

Donald, who needs to take the title to become World Number One for the first time, repeated his victory over German Martin Kaymer in February's final at Dove Mountain - with an even bigger 5 and 3 margin this time.

In the other semi-final Poulter was two down with four to play, but Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts bogeyed the 15th and 16th and lost when he ran up a bogey six on the first extra hole.

Donald won three holes in a row from the second and, after running up a double bogey seven on the next, birdied the long eighth and then took the 226 yard tenth when Kaymer double bogeyed.

The next four were shared and Donald did not even have to putt at the 15th after his opponent found a greenside bunker.

Colsaerts chipped in at the second and went three up after seven, but then made a mess of the eighth and Poulter, conqueror of Westwood in the last 16, halved the next five.

Colsaerts remained two up with four to play, but three-putted the 15th and then had to take a penalty drop after a wild drive down the next. Poulter won it with a par four and was all square.

Colsaerts birdied the last two holes, but Poulter matched them with putts of nine and five feet to take the game into sudden death.

Poulter won at the first extra hole after Colsaerts, much the longer off the tee again, missed the green this time, fluffed a chip and ran up a bogey six.
