Now back to Hong Kong where Poulter won his 10 European title. I watched most of this and afterward he said he took 4 weeks off after the Ryder Cup to get rested for the Race to Dubai and is really disappointed he didn't win at least one of the 2 weeks prior to this one..

"I'll be honest, the last two weeks I've been really disappointed. Shanghai I was lying fourth with six holes to play. "

"Obviously last week, I was in the lead for a number of holes. I was in position again to win and I didn't do it  I didn't convert the putts"

He shot -3 67 to finish with a -22 total of 258.

Simon Dyson 65, England and Italy's Matteo Manassero 62, were a shot back

Manassero's -8 62 was just brilliant, the sky is the limit for this 17 year old and how bright a future for Italian golf with him and the Molinari's !!

American Anthony Kang 65, was 4th ahead of Graeme McDowell 68,who faded a little having started the day in 2nd. Still he is now 214,222 euros behind Kaymer going into next week's finale in Dubai

Rory McIlroy has been second here the last 2 years at this little Hong Kong Golf Club but never really threatened Poulter who the way he is playing must be considered the favourite to win it all next week.

1 POULTER, Ian -22 18 -3 67 60 64 67 258
