Play is underway at the last of the Fall Series tourney's on the PGA tour at the Walt Disney World Resort. They play on 2 courses, the Magnolia and the Palm, and scoring conditions are ideal this morning.
Rickie Fowler who has been around the world playing since the Ryder Cup in Wales in September has gone out and shot a -6 66 to hold the early clubhouse lead.. The 21 year old playing the Palm course, is looking for his 1st win, and he just arrived from China on Tuesday and says he has logged 30,000 air miles since Wales.
Stephen Ames is the defending champion, but has been sidelined with a back injury. He also won here in 2007..
Of course at stake this week is the final chance to get into the top 125 on the money list before the final stage of Q school in the first week of December... 126-150 gets 'conditional' status which gets you into about 10 events a year..
I will list the leaderboard and the days wrap on completion of play, but here are some of the guys in and around the 125 number as they play right now..
121 Chris Stroud $28,164 $818,671 $790,507

Meanwhile I was up in the night watching some of the action from the Barclay's in Singapore where they also are playing on 2 courses, the Serapong and the Tanjong and they had a terrible storm blow through delaying play by 4 hours so at least half the field still have to complete round 1 and some of the guys only got 1 hole in before darkness fell.
Race to Dubai leaders Martin Kaymer and Graeme McDowell are in the field....Lee Westwood is off for the next 2 weeks...
Phil Mickelson is T25 after a -4 67 on the Tanjong course.
Here are your clubhouse leaders..
T1 KIM, Bi-o -8 18 -8 63 - - - 63
T1 WOOD, Chris -8 18 -8 63 - - - 63
In Australia as I mentioned earlier this morning Tiger is defending his title playing the Victoria GC in Melbourne, and despite his indifferent form this year is getting all the attention.
He opened with a -2 69 and is T17.
There are only 5 players in this field who are not Australian, 2 of them are Sergio Garcia and Camilo Villegas both of whom will have received lucrative incentives from the sponsor to appear in addition to the prize money..Not of course as lucrative as Tiger who, and no one is certain of the exact number, does not show up without $2m US being deposited in his or maybe his ex wife's bank account !!
This course has a driveable par 4 first hole and ends with par 5's at 17 and 18, so it should provide plenty of drama come Sunday..
These 3 Aussies have the lead.. Members play it as a par 72, the pros..71.
