They are tip toeing over the soggy, waterlogged fairways this morning after more torrential rains once again wreaked havoc at TPC Louisiana, causing PGA TOUR officials to suspend third-round play Sunday and shorten the Zurich Classic to 54 holes.
Play resumed at 7 a.m. local time, however the National Weather Service calls for a 60 percent chance of rain beginning at 11 a.m with a 10 to 35 percent chance between now and 10 a.m.
Co-leaders Brian Stuard and Jhonattan Vegas share the lead at -13 after managing to play five holes before play was suspended at 10:00 a.m Sunday. They have been joined by Bobby Wyatt, who's playing on a sponsor's exemption this week
Canadians: David Hearn is -8 total and -4 today through 16 holes currently T20. Adam Hadwin is -5 total and -2 today through 14 holes T42. Nick Taylor -4 total and -2 today through 11 holes T51.

Roger Sloan leads United Leasing Championship

Don't look now, but Roger Sloan, who shot into contention with a 65 yesterday. has birdied 6 of the 10 holes he has played today and at -13 leads the United Leasing Championship by a shot playing the back nine.
His fellow Canadian Brad Fritsch missed the cut this week, but he was 1st and 2nd in the two events before.

Third-round play was suspended at 10:08 a.m. CT this morning (1108 est) at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana because of impending inclement weather.
Third round play was suspended Saturday and resumed Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. CT. With the 3-day forecast calling for more rain in southeast Louisiana, the chances of the tournament being shortened from 72 holes appear to go up every hour. As of now, tournament officials are hopeful of resuming play later today and completing 72 holes Monday, weather permitting.
Brian Stuard and Jhonattan Vegas share the partial third-round lead at 13-under par over the squishy par 72, 7,412-yard Pete Dye layout.
Scott Stallings, Bobby Wyatt and last week's winner at the Valero Texas Open, Charley Hoffman were all -6 on their respective rounds before play was halted. Wyatt sits just one shot back, while Hoffman and Stallings went into the clubhouse for the delay three shots behind the co-leaders.
There comes a time when officials will have to fish or cut bait, and with this system socked in I agree with the sentiment to declare the whole weekend a wash and give the prize money to charities which badly need it in this hurricane torn area.
At best everyone has to hang around to see if they can even get 54 holes done, which would be the second choice after 72. They have told the field to make plans to stay until Monday night, and the PGA Tour will make every effort to make that happen, but the forecast sure doesn't look promising.

Li Haotong delighted the home fans at Topwin Golf and Country Club as he fired a closing bogey-free 64 to become the second consecutive Chinese winner of the Volvo China Open.
The 20 year old began the day two shots behind Felipe Aguilar and Lucas Bjerregaard but with a large home gallery cheering on his every shot, he reeled in the Chilean and held a share of the lead as he stood on the 17th tee.
Li birdied the penultimate hole to get -22 and when Aguilar put his tee-shot on the 16th into the water, a par up the last was enough to give Li a three-shot victory and a first European Tour title.
The win makes China the first country to have players win the event in successive years after Wu Ashun's triumph last campaign and also gives the world's most populous nation a record fourth victory, one more than Australia and England.

The leader is long hitting Gerina Piller who shot -4 67 to reach -14 for a 2 shot lead, and her story is the headliner here at Las Colinas Country Club in Texas.
She hasn't won in 123 career starts, lives in Plano, about 20 miles from Las Colinas and grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, and played at the University Texas-El Paso with our Canadian golf pro Rick Todd.
She is married to PGA Tour player Martin Piller who incidently missed the cut in the Zurich Classic.
South Korean players Amy Yang (65) and Mi Jung Hur (66) are T2 -12 and Jenny Shin (65) and Sei Young Kim (68) are -10. Hur as I mentioned on Friday lives in the area in the town of McKinney.
Maude Aimee LeBlanc, Samantha Richdale and Alena Sharp all missed the cut.

Bad weather may mean a Monday finish for the Zurich Classic.

The best laid plans of mice and men are being put to the test on this Easter Sunday for all our Greek friends in the Toronto area as rain has moved in after a spectacular sunny spring day on Saturday.
The same can be said down in Louisiana, where the Zurich Classic and all it's players, fans and officials are facing more rain delays that have interrupted two out of three days of the tournament so far. The forecast for today is sadly more of the same.
The leader is Brian Stuard, who managed to play just six holes on Saturday, completing his second round with a -4 68 to reach -12. Jamie Landmark and Jhonattan Vegas are currently T2 and they haven't played since Friday. He is 33 and is looking for his first win.
Jason Day is -7 through 2 rounds.
David Hearn is at -5 under through four holes in his third round. Adam Hadwin is currently -4 through 2 holes of his 3rd round. Nick Taylor at -2 has yet to start his. Mike Weir has missed the cut.
Rain is forecast for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
"Our hopes are that during the rain periods we won't have lightning and we'll be able to play golf,'' PGA TOUR rules official Steve Carman said Saturday. "Depending on how it goes, we could keep them in the same groups and play the fourth round. I told the players that if we have any stoppage they need to make plans to play here Monday, provided we can play here Monday. I feel confident that we'll be here Monday"
