Monday morning shag bag. Weirsy top 10, results, final scoreboards

Bridgestone Senior Players final leaderboard https://www.pgatour.com/champions.html

While Jerry Kelly was making a hole in one at  the 12th on his way to winning the Bridgestone Senior Players at -3, the rest of the field were battling just to beat par.

Kelly (69) was one of only 2 players to do it on the vaunted south course at Firestone CC. Second place finisher Scott Parel (70) was the other at -1.

Mike Weir certainly had his moments both good and bad in his first Senior major, finishing T10, +5 72 70 71 72. He began strongly racing out to -4 and the lead on Thursday, and he finished strong as well with birdies at 17 and 18 yesterday. He didn't drive the ball in the fairway until the 9th hole yesterday resulting in 3 bogey's, he ended with only 22/56 or 39%, but was T3 in birdies with 13 and 4th in putting on the week. Another gutsy performance from Mike.

Stephen Ames T48 +15 73 75 77 70. David Morland T56 +17, 76 75 72 74.

Jim Herman rose from the also rans of the PGA Tour with a 61 on Saturday and then 63 for a -21 final on Sunday to jump from 192 to 54 in the Fed Ex Cup to make next week's playoffs which begin with the Northern Trust in Boston.

Roger Sloan started strong, 62 70 68 71 -9 T31, Michael Gligic 67 69 67 72 -5 T56

Young Sam Horsfield has turned his European Tour career around with 2 wins in 3 weeks, this time in the dark after a 2 hour T'Storm delay, 67 64 68 67 -18 at the Celtic Classic. He's an Englishman who lives near Ian Poulter in Florida, and in fact is managed by Poulter's caddie. He will now be eligible for the US Open.

Canadian Aaron Cockerill had a 67 67 weekend to finish T14 -11.
