Alena Sharp shares lead, Henderson flirts with the cut in the wind and rain at AIG Women's Open.... round 2 live scoreboard

First, the weather forecast is as expected, rain, heavy at times and the wind still blowing intermittently from the SW as it was yesterday.

The early wave are well into their second round and the cut is projected at +6. I expect the cut will continue to rise, perhaps as high as +9.  The lowest score on today's round as I post this is -2 American Kristen Gillman through 11 holes, +2 total.

Bad news, Brooke Henderson who shot +6 77 on Thursday was out early and looks like she will have made the long trip to Scotland with a missed cut. Today she shot +4 75 , 5 bogey's, a double and 3 birdies for a +10. The early wave had the worst of the weather with the heaviest rain and wind first thing this morning.

Good news, Alena Sharp shares the lead early in her 2nd round at -1 after her magnificent 71 E on Thursday, she opened with par, birdie today. Follow her scoring with my live link above. She will have a tough go of it today if the weather forecast holds up. Anything around par will see her stay near the lead.

The overnight leader at 67-4 was Amy Olsen, but this morning in the worst of the weather she is +6 through 10 holes.

The clubhouse leader is American Austin Ernst 72 70 E. Danielle Kang is at +7 playing the 18th.

Look at my weather forecast link above and you will see there is heavy rain and gusty winds expected for the late wave around 5pm local time.
