Hughes, Hadwin join strong International field on Saturday at the PGA Championship.. Live scoring

PGA Championship Saturday tee times/ leaderboard https://www.pgachampionship.com/leaderboard

The cut fell at +1 late on Friday night allowing the top 70 and ties into the field starting this morning at Harding Park for this PGA Championship.

Thirty-six of them including Mac Hughes 73,68 +1 and Adam Hadwin 68 71 -1 are not from the USA, led by an extremely talented young 25 year old Chinese star Haotong Li 67 65 -8, unknown in America, but a two time winner on the European Tour at the highest level, the Volvo China Open, and the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in 2018, beating Rory McIlroy. He was also 3rd at the Open in 2017.

I've watched Haotong over the years, and as Adam Scott, his Presidents Cup team mate, who is also playing this weekend says "He's usually all guns blazing" This week he leads the field in GIR with over 80% accuracy.

Canadians : Corey Connors and Nick Taylor have missed the cut, however Mac Hughes recovered from an opening 73, with -4 68 +1 and Adam Hadwin at -1 is one of 43 players within 7 shots of the lead.

So the weekend, bulging with storylines, none bigger than Brooks Koepka 66,68 leading a pack at -6, looking to become the 3rd man in history to win 3 consecutive PGA Championships. He has a bad hip, requiring on course physio yesterday.

France with veteran Mike Lorenzo Vera at -6, England with Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood (-6), Ryder Cup hero's who battled to the last stroke of the year to determine the Race to Dubai title 2 years ago and don't forget Paul Casey 68 67 -5. Australia with Jason Day 65 69 -6 are all International players T2.

Alex Noren 67 69 -4 from Sweden, Bernd Weisberger 68 68 -4 from Germany, Dylan Frittelli 70 67 -3 from South Africa, Si Woo Kim 69 68 -3 from South Korea, Hideki Matsuyama 70 67 -3 from Japan are all stars in their own countries who will make up the story of this Saturday moving day.

Weather: Cool 19*c the high, and blustery winds from SW with no rain for both days, Harding Park as it dries out will be firmer and faster. Jason Day says the SW wind is a cross wind both left to right and right to left on many holes.

I will be watching guys like  Justin Thomas, Louis Oosthuizen, Rory and Tiger who will be out early with the calmest conditions and perfect greens to set the table.

Mac Hughes is first off at 8.10 playing either as a single or with a marker. Adam Hadwin at 12.20 with Dutch star Joost Luiten.
