The women of the LPGA Tour have made their way from the west coast of Scotland to Rogers, Arkansas for this weeks Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, what a culture shock. Some say the Scottish dialect is tough to understand, now they have the hee haw of Arkansas.
The weather will be twice as hot at times as it was at Royal Troon, the wind a slight breeze, and there is heavy rain expected overnight on Saturday and early Sunday morning as Hurricane Laura batters the southern USA.
Gone are the hallowed links and back to the park land of the Pinnacle CC near Fayetteville.
Brooke Henderson returns for her 2nd event after missing the cut in Scotland at +10. Alena Sharp had a solid week at Royal Troon finishing +6 and admitted after she was pleased with her game, but needed more putts to fall. Jaclyn Lee is returning from injury after her rookie year in 2019.
Play gets underway on Friday.
