Ladies Scottish Open final scoreboard https://www.lpga.com/tournaments/aberdeen-standard-investments-ladies-scottish-open/leaderboard
I wish I could have watched it as Stacy Lewis birdied the 1st playoff hole to win the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open, however I can assure you she has !
After watching on the Golf Channel most of this morning, and griping to myself at the awful pace of play, particularly the little American, Jennifer Song who dawdles on the tee box, and just has a putting preparation routine that needs a telling off, not to mention all this marking every short putt and waiting.
She wasn't alone, anyhow as a result 11am est arrives with the 4 players all tied at -5, Stacy (72), Azahara Munoz (73), Cheyenne Knight (70) and the Dane, Emily Kristine Pedersen (68) teeing off down the 18th and with no warning the Golf Channel on Rogers cuts to a Feherty repeat !!
I assume they ran out of satellite time, or whatever, my point is if the LPGA/LET would get these gals to pick up the pace, we'd have seen Stacy winning her 13th career event, and had time for interviews and analysis.
By the way, Stacy who turned pro in 2008 has won $13,135,573. This was her first win since 2017 the Cambia Portland Classic.
Note: Danielle Kang who had won the 2 previous weeks T5 -4 just a shot out of the playoff.
The ladies now get in their luxury coaches, or rental cars and travel across Scotland from North Berwick on the east coast to Ayrshire on the south west for the AIG Women's Open (formerly Women's British Open) at Royal Troon which of course is a true links course, unlike this week's man made newly minted Renaissance Club.
Brooke Henderson is coming out of her self isolation to return to play, as I expect will all the South Koreans and several American stars like Lexi Thompson.
Play returns to the States after next week to Arkansas, then a week off, then to the west coast for the ANA Inspiration major in Rancho Mirage, then Portland for the Cambia Classic, and back to Carlsbad for the Kia Classic.
