After a 2 hour fog delay play in rd1 got underway at 905am with a brisk S wind to contend with all day, subsided in the early evening leaving benign conditions after dinner for the late wave before darkness suspended play at 8.25pm
In form Wyndham Clark took full advantage at -6 with a 4 shot lead after he played 16 holes over the field, all of whom are at -2 in various stages including Matt Fitzpatrick, Jon Rahm, and LIV Dustin Johnson.
Play in round 1 has resumed at 635am with 50 players already in position then the Friday tee times will be moved back by 15 minutes.
