Brooke Henderson back in contention T3 at Women's PGA Championship

Maybe it was sister Brittany announcing the arrival of her daughter Sahalee on Thursday this week, or the fact she started her amazing career here 10 years ago as a still growing teenage 17 year old,  but a proud aunt Brooke Henderson, now 28, finally played some of her best golf this season to eventually (4 hour rain delay) T3 at this KPMG Women's PGA Championship

It is only her second T10 of 2026 and her best major result since 2024.

A South Korean, Haeran Ryu the 2023 LPGA Rookie of the Year won it, her first major at -13 two shots ahead of another Korean, Ina Yoon.

Brooke with Dewi Webber were at -10.

When she finally did get to play on the iconic Hazeltine National GC in Minnesota at 2pm, Brooke did manage birdies at 9th and 10th, but with her worst statistical ball striking day of the week, which had been exceptional, she didn't give herself any good birdie chances on the back nine.

After her first top 10 here since 2020, Brooke was her usual quiet, reserved but relieved self post round.

"Hopefully I can continue this trend, and continue to improve and get the ball striking in a good spot. So happy to get a T3 in a major, makes this whole season feel a little better, and gives me a lot of confidence going forward to my next two events which are also majors.

I feel like I'm in better form, close to being really good again "....
