Brooke Henderson back in contention at Women's US Open.. 36 hole results

Brooke Henderson will enter the weekend at the US Women's Open just 4 shots off the lead after making the cut for the first time in 3 years.

With a chip in at the 14th then 3 bogeys on her back nine her -2 69 she not only made the cut but after an opening double bogey, she is T16 73 69 E

"I felt like today I started a bit rough, but I was able to chip in on 14 then make a bunch of birdies after that"

It's been 5 years since this once dominant Canadian has been in the top 10 at any US Open

Canadian amateur, Aphrodite Deng (16) made 3 birdies and 5 bogey's 70 73 also made the cut at T23 +1

World #1 Nelly Korda shot a US Open personal best -4 67 for the round of the day 73 67 T9 -2

The leaders at -4 are Ruoning Yin from China 69 69 and American Alisson Lee at 70 68.
