Trump Doonbeg

New Venue

Formerly known as Doonbeg Golf Club,Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg hosts the Amgen Irish Open for the first time this week, becoming the 19th different venue in the event’s 52 editions on the DP World Tour.

It is in County Clare, SW Ireland along Doughmore Bay on the Atlantic Ocean, opened in 2002, designed originally by Greg Norman, a spectacular seaside links course with towering sand dunes, a 45 minute drive from Shannon Airport.

McIlroy returns this week as defending champion, looking to build on a year that has already seen him become a six‑time Major winner after triumphing at the Masters.
