Friday under way Amgen Irish Open...Live scoreboard

DP World Tour: Amgen Irish Open  Tee Times Leaderboard

Joaquin Niemann begins Friday in the lead after he produced a late birdie burst to card a -5 65 after day one of the Amgen Irish Open.  He is in the late wave at 13.35hrs today.

Joaquin Niemann leads after wild and windy opening day in Ireland

The Chilean playing on a sponsors exemption, made four birdies in a row from the 14th to -5 and set the target at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel, Ireland, Doonbeg on a day when the wind made scoring difficult.

FRIDAY

BBC WEATHER : Sunny intervals 18*/14* and a gentle breeze, 8km/h -11km/h WSW.

** Rory -2, Shane Lowry -4, Patrick Reed -2, Jon Rahm -1 are all out early after getting the worst of the wind late on Thursday.

** Scoring is easier, early Richard Mansell is -6 thru 11 so far for example.

** The front nine were the easiest on Thursday, downwind on several holes with this WSW wind, the back nine is into the wind

** Tides, 1st high tide 5.18am (5 meters)  1st low tide 11.15am (0.8 meters)

               2nd high tide 17.30 hrs (5.24 meters)  2nd low tide 23.43hrs (0.39 meters)

Generally the wind gets up as the tide comes in, so the early round catch the tide going out this morning when its calmer.

You can see the late round has the tide coming in during the afternoon.
