Play on "moving day" in Paris is underway after a foggy start, the skies have cleared with lots of sunshine as Matt Fitzpatrick who made five birdies and an eagle on Friday afternoon before preserving his flawless card with an excellent up-and-down from the back-left of the 18th green begins the day a shot ahead of the pack at -13
The round was overnight suspended at 19.55pm local time due to darkness, with play set to restart at 8.45am. Saturday will be a two tee start in three balls and will not start before 10am.
The cut fell at -3 for 66 players.

Matt Fitzpatrick was on a run of form early in this 2026 season where nobody in the world could match him.
In March he was 2nd at the Players, 1st at the Valspar, then in April after T18 at the Masters, he won the RBC Heritage and with his brother Alex won the Zurich Classic.
His prize money in total was $9,650,000.
He's back in that form this week is sunny Paris in ideal conditions 65 64 65 -19 with a shot lead over French fan favourite Tom Vaillant 67 65 67 -14, they will make up the final pairing on Sunday.

Seven birdies more than offset the Englishman's first bogey of the week as he led by five strokes from Tom Vaillant, who enjoyed loud support from the home crowd at Le Golf National.
Fitzpatrick said: "I feel like I'm in a position that if I go and shoot a good round tomorrow, then obviously it makes it almost impossible to catch. But long way to go, and just take it hole by hole."
Vaillant shot 67 to nudge ahead of a large group at -13 , including Eugenio Chacarra, whose 62 was the lowest round of the week, and Brandon Stone who shot 63.
Fitzpatrick said: "Just another really, really solid day. I felt really comfortable out there.
"I think to birdie the first, it's always nice to kind of get off to a nice start like that. And then two-under through three, and you can kind of kick on from there. And I felt like that my game was pretty solid all day.
"I was disappointed to drop my one shot, to be honest. It will kind of stick with me."
Stone and Chacarra were alongside Reitan, Hidalgo and Winther at -13 under. A shot further back were at -12 were Kim, German veteran Marcel Siem, Italian pair Migliozzi and Gregorio De Leo and Englishmen Sam Bairstow and Joe Dean.
Fitzpatrick's compatriot and Ryder Cup team-mate Tommy Fleetwood, the 2017 champion, was -6 after Friday's round but was forced to withdraw before Saturday's tee time due to illness.
