Play began this morning in Paris with Michael Kim in the lead after he began his title defence with a resounding 8 birdie, bogey free 63 to lead this French Open by 2 shots over a group of 7 players including Matt Fitzpatrick at -6 65.
Today, Denmark's Jeff Winther is off to a great start -6 through 13 holes -11 for the lead, confirming to the others that in these ideal conditions the newly renovated Le National is certainly there for the taking..
