Alena Sharp started her week with a +4 76 and since then has moved up through this top class field with -2 70 and yesterday -5 67 to enter today's final round T5 -3 at this ANA Inspiration in Rancho Mirage on the Dinah Shore course.
She joins Brooke Henderson 70, 72, 71 -2 T8 as they pursue the South Korean leader Jin Young Ko (64) -8 at the first major of the year on the LPGA/LET tours. Ko is the reigning Rookie of the Year and has veteran caddie David Booker who has caddied the ANA 16 times with 2 previous champions carrying her bag this week.
Alena had 7 birdies and 2 bogey's, used only 23 putts and had 4/5 sand saves.
The weather today is calling for temperatures in the mid 90's F.
