Brandon Stone has won his first European Tour event, and it is his national championship to boot.
It wasn't easy for the young man who started the final round 2 shots clear, moved up to as many as 5 in front before Christiaan Bezuidenhout made it close, and he was reduced to tears on the 18th green.
His round of 71 had a bit of everything, seven birdies and six bogeys but it was enough to add him to the ranks of young guns who are winning on these big stages all around the world.
As has been the case all week, the thunder and lightning storms swept over the Glendower GC Saturday afternoon suspending play with only one group having completed round 3, so the field returned at sun up this morning to finish their rounds and it was Stone who separated himself from the field as he made 3 birdies in 5 holes to shoot 65 -13 total to take a 2 shot lead over England's Daniel Brooks shot who shot 70.

Stone who played one year at the University of Texas won his card for this year after finishing 14th on the Challenge Tour money list, then he went out and won on the Sunshine Tour in Cape Town.
Daniel Brooks bogeyed the 18th to drop to -11 under and finish 3rd, two shots ahead of 4 South Africans, Retief Goosen, Branden Grace, Keith Horne and Justin Walters
