Earlier this morning the field completed the 2nd round of this BMW South African Open which has featured blazing hot days in brilliant sunshine followed by very threatening thunder and lightning storms which roll in late in the afternoons forcing the players and spectators off the course.
As a result 78 of the field were out early this morning and it was England's Daniel Brooks who finished with a 1 shot lead after he made 6 birdies in his 11 holes for a fine 67 -9 total one shot ahead of Keith Horne 69 -8 69

Branden Grace was the hottest player on course before play was suspended on Friday at just after 3pm but he left that form in bed with a bogey-bogey finish this morning for a 68 -7 along with fellow South African Jbe Kruger 70 -7.
As I mentioned yesterday Andy Sullivan the defending champ shot 75 72 and missed the cut by a shot along with Ernie Els who wasn't putting well and had rounds of 73-74
Round 3 is underway in brilliant sunshine..
