Hearn, DeLaet, Taylor and Hadwin back in action this week

PGA Tour Sony Open leaderboard http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/sony-open-in-hawaii/leaderboard.html

After a couple of months away it's time to get back to work for many of the pro's and the Canadian foursome of David Hearn (123), Graham DeLaet (166), Nick Taylor (340) and Adam Hadwin (237) are amongst those who will tee it up at the Sony Open just on the outskirts of Honolulu.

DeLaet and his wife Ruby are now the proud parents of twins, Roscoe and Lyla so Graham has spent most of the time playing dad in Scottsdale. He says he is ready to get back at it, feeling healthy again after a debilitating thumb injury.

They all have plenty to play for, none ranked in the top 125 as the year begins, and they all have the added incentive of making Team Canada for this summer's Olympics in Rio. Taylor and Hadwin are in their 2nd full seasons so that usually bodes well, Hearn and DeLaet are entering their 7th.

Jimmy Walker is the lead story at the tight little par 70 Waialae course as he is going for a three peat, having won by nine shots last year after a 62 63 weekend. There are only seven guys from the top 30 in the field, led by Adam Scott at #11.

I have visited this famous Hawaiian course, now hosting for the 51st year after it was opened back in 1927 as part of the Royal Hawaiian hotel to attract more tourists from the mainland to come out and play. They play the back nine as the front nine for the professionals.
