Newly minted, controversial LIV Tour schedule announced.. details

Saudi backed LIV Golf Invitational, captained by Greg Norman, announced their schedule with 8 tournaments beginning on June 9th, 2022.

Canadian golf fans will note right away that is the week of The RBC Canadian Open at St. George’s G&CC.

Players signing up will compete for huge financial incentives over 54-hole events with no cuts, shotgun starts.

$20 million is being dangled for individual play, and $5 million for a team competition.

The season finale will have a $30 million purse, destination yet to be decided.

Here's where they are playing, some of it in direct competition with the PGA Tour and others with  the DP World Tour.

So far 4 events are in the USA, 1 in the UK, 1 in Asia and 1 in Saudi Arabia.

The players have yet to be announced, recently most all PGA Tour stars have stated they will not be involved, same with the DP World Tour, so it seems the Saudi's are throwing their money out there at Asian, South Korean players without a big time headliner.

June 9: Centurion GC, London, England

July 1: Pumpkin Ridge, Portland, Ore.

July 29: Trump Bedminster, N.J.

Sept 2: The International, Boston

Sept 16: Rich Harvest Farms, Chicago

Oct 7: Stonehill, Bangkok

Oct 14: Royal Greens GC, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Oct 28: Team Championship
