GB&I win the 2025 TEAM CUP.. final results

DP World Tour : TEAM CUP Leaderboard

Great Britain & Ireland completed an impressive 17-8 victory in the 2025 Team Cup.

Great Britain & Ireland close in on Team Cup victory

Justin Rose's side went into Sunday with an 11-4 lead in the race to 13 points, after winning the first two sessions 3½ -1½ and Saturday afternoon’s foursomes 4-1.

Tommy Fleetwood produced a dominant front nine against the also impressive Matthieu Pavon and secured his point shortly after Laurie Canter wrapped up a 5&4 win over Romain Langasque.

Tyrrell Hatton and Rose quickly made it 15-4 and GB&I were up in all but one of the matches remaining on the course at Abu Dhabi Golf Resort.

Continental Europe Captain Francesco Molinari earned a half-point as his side battled creditably to take three points from the final four matches but the week belonged to Rose's men.

Ryder Cup star Fleetwood, who won all four of his points across the week to embellish his formidable record in team events, said: “It obviously feels great, what an unbelievable group of lads we had this week and an unbelievable captain so just a pleasure to be a part of it.

“Everybody just played so well. I always find it very motivating and inspiring being around the lads in a team environment, you want to get best out of yourself. Happy that we got it done this time and sure we’ll enjoy it later.”

EDIT  The real winner in all of this is the European Ryder Cup team, with captain Luke Donald in attendance along with all the European brass in attendance. Some of the players on Team Europe will be joining guys from GB&I in New York State for the Ryder Cup in September, this event is a great bonding, and of course great friendly competition.

Next week Rory arrives along with the first full field of 2025 at the Hero Dubai Classic  on the Emirates where he won last year and Canadian Aaron Cockerill was T4.
