Aaron Cockerill the lone Canadian on Tour, began this calendar year 49th in the Race to Dubai which qualified him for the prestigious Hero Dubai Desert Classic for the top 50 players.
He finished that no cut week near the bottom of the field, and last week he missed the cut by a shot.
He recently revealed he is dealing with " a bit of a foot injury" with a picture of him soaking his right foot in ice water on Instagram.
His best recent result, a T13 at the French Open was the week of October 10/24. Since then T43, T86 (MC) T46 T49 T52, T67 (MC), T121(MC) T74 (MC).
As a result he has dropped from the top 50 to #156 in the Race to Dubai.
This season is in its infancy, I will point out that last weeks winner Alejandro Del Rey moved up 169 places to #7 from 176th, so a good week can make all the difference in your Tour Status.
Aaron's stats are not pretty right now, you can see the drop off from 2024 by clicking
He will have a group 10 status all year which is for the top 110 which means he qualifies for the full schedule.
This week he is paired with Andy Sullivan and Italian Francesco Laporta off the 1st tee.
