Upbeat Tommy Fleetwood reflects on his week at Travelers.

PGA Tour: Travelers Championship..  Leaderboard  Results

In a post round TV interview on Saturday night, Tommy Fleetwood reviewed the highlights of his day, a superb -7 63 following 66, 65, he stated the obvious to several questions and wrapped it up " I'll just go and and do more of the same things and hopefully when we add them all up it will be good enough to win"

With players paired in threes off split tees due to the extreme heat warning and threat of TStorms his partners were Keegan Bradley and Russell Henley.

After a shaky start with 3 bogey's on his front nine, he got on track coming in and was 3 ahead with 4 holes to play, then as we know he managed to 3 putt the final green from 50 feet, to allow Bradley the opportunity to win.

To many who have followed his career since schoolboy days in Southport, their hearts went out once again, his 42nd top 10 on the PGA Tour without a win.

To make matters worse social media blew up, with the over the top, unsportsman like conduct by Bradley after his good fortune, wildly demonstrative, then after leaving all concerned waiting, then without a word, barely shook Tommy's hand .

A disappointed Fleetwood, addressed the media. "I'm upset know, Im angry, When I calm down, look at all the things I did well, all the things I can learn from.

I did plenty of things this week, more than enough to win, I didn't and that hurts.

The most stupid thing to do when it calms down would be to make a week like this become a hindrance to what you do going forward.

I obviously played great, led the tournament for 71 holes, I just want to put myself in that position again as soon as I can, and try to correct what I did wrong what II did this time.

I will likely go away and sulk somewhere, but there is no point making it a negative for the future, just take the positives and move on"

He will soon be flying home to the UK for the Genesis Scottish Open which he also lost in a playoff in 2020. Then it's the 153rd Open at Royal County Down in Northern Ireland.
