PGA Tour : Memorial Tournament by Workday. Tee Times
The PGA Tour is at Jack's place this week at Muirfield Village, another signature restricted 72 man field, this time with no Rory McIlroy.
The tour's dominant player so far this year with wins at Pebble Beach, The PLAYERS and the Masters including the Grand Slam advised an understanding host, he likes to play the week before a major, so will play the RBC Canadian Open where he is the two time champion instead.
There are two events apart from all the others where the pros feel extra pressure to show up. Arnie is gone now, but he always leaned on all the top boys to play at Bay Hill, long before the $20,000,000 events existed.
Jack does the same at his Muirfield Village, letters sent out privately if he heard that a top ranked player had not entered, back in the day. He has said he has no issue with Rory's absence, having had to say no many times in his career.
Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion, coming off a win at the PGA Championship.
There are 5 Canadians in the field.
Corey Conners and Taylor Pendrith are paired together at 1205 EDT
Adam Hadwin with veteran JP Poston at 9.00
Mac Hughes looking to rebound after 2 MC, with Matt Kuchar
Nick Taylor with Jacob Bridgeman at 2.00pm.
WEATHER
There are a 40% chance of showers in Dublin Ohio, Th., Fr., Sat, mainly afternoons, Sunday looks ideal with plenty of sunshine.
It is projected to rain this Wednesday afternoon.
This event is reknown for the heat and humidity at this time of year and while there is some on Thursday, Friday it doesn't appear to be a week long situation.
