PGA Championship : Tee Times
The first thing you will notice as you scroll through the TEE TIMES listed above, if you are confused about the state of men's professional golf today, is the return of old faces from the LIV.
That is because this week is governed by the US PGA, not the PGA Tour who has banned LIV players from their schedule.
So this week you will see old, not so familiar faces like Sergio Garcia, Martin Kaymer, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson, Joaquin Niemann, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, Dean Burmester and John Bland who are allowed to play under their rules, before returning next week to the LIV schedule.
Then there are guys like Laurie Canter who quit LIV to return to DP World Tour, and others like Tyrrell Hatton who have paid up fines to the DP World Tour who will now let him play some of their events, while he still returns to play LIV schedule.
"Confused".. don't blame you ..
Suffice to say talks between the LIV and PGA Tour have stalled after the huge financial support of the SSG, or Strategic Sports Group led by Fenway Sports Group who have invested $3 billion into the new for profit PGA Tour Enterprises.
This has made all that original controversial free Saudi money from their PIF that has made all of the above fabulously rich, beyond their former PGA Tour days, now unnecessary with the surge in PGA Tour prize money, including 8 signature events worth $20,000,000.
Now let me return to the norm.
