They couldn't catch Lefty, 2025 Valspar Texas Open..... final results

PGA Tour : Valspar Texas Open  Results

As it turns out, Mother Nature included, Brian Harman's outstanding 66 66 Thursday and Friday could not be caught at this 2025 version of the Valero Texas Open.

AS the legendary Irish great Christy O'Connor once said watching the rain and wind blowing into St Andrews on the eve of the Open. "give me 2 under par for the week with the bookies, and I'll just stay here and collect my money from them at weeks end !!"

Brian Harman now 38, still 5'7" doesn't feature often amongst the game's more glamorous stars, he's not regularly on the cover of all the golf magazines, but when it's his week this little lefty is a talented, gritty professional, he proved that in 2023 winning at Royal Liverpool and he was T2 at the Players in 2024

When the Texas weather changed from the sunny 90*'s F on Friday.to overcast, cold with a N wind on Saturday he was already 4 shots clear of the field.

Now the Oaks course had all the help she needed from Mother Nature to show her teeth and the scoring soared, only seven broke par on Saturday and Sunday wasn't any better with  players breaking par, scoring average 74.8.

Harman stayed out of harms way, posting 72 on Saturday when the field was scoring 76.3, and although Andrew Novak got within a shot early on Sunday, he slipped to 76, as did most of the other contenders, and Harman's 75, despite a few blips along the way was more than enough to win comfortably as it turned out, by 3 shots at 66 66 72 75 -9 a nice way to head home to Georgia, and to Augusta, now ranked world #22, with his 4th PGA Tour title.

Canadians

Corey Conners T18 71 71 70 74 -2. Watched Corey all week, he looked at ease driving it beautifully, solid if not spectacular iron play, made a few long ones, but several 3 putts stalled any real progress to contend for his 3rd win here.

Adam Svensson T47  71 70 72 78 +6 He was right there in scoring with Corey on Saturday night, had 3 bogey's and two doubles on Sunday. He is not at Augusta.

Corey Conners, Nick Taylor, Taylor Pendrith and Mike Weir are the 4 Canadians in this weeks Masters.
