PGA Tour : RBC Heritage Classic... Results
Andrew Novak and his more famous competitor Justin Thomas have both been playing well recently and they emerged from the packed leaderboard late on Sunday at this version of the RBC Heritage after a week of relentless sunshine at Hilton Head SC.
Thomas posted -3 68 to lead in the clubhouse at -17. Moments Novak had the tournament in his hands with an 8 footer for his 1st win, however it was never on the line, the resulting 68 meant a playoff.
He narrowly missed his 35 footer in the playoff, Thomas made his 20 footer to return to the winners circle for the first time in years.

On hearing the cheers he later said " I never knew how much I missed winning"..
Now for we mortals, remember this was a $20,000,000 event ! So $3,600,000 to the Thomas family.

Meanwhile Mac Hughes had by far his best week of this season taking a full advantage of the RBC sponsors invitation, T3, 68 66 69 67 -14 worth $960,000
