LPGA : Chevron Championship Leaderboard
First this has not been Brooke Henderson T58 or Alena Sharp's T68 week after 54holes at this years Chevron Championship, nor for that matter has it been for most of the LPGA star players.
Brooke who held the course record with 64 last year and was in the final pairing finishing T3 to Nelly Korda, has seen her game slip since.
In 7 starts this year, 4 cuts made, 1 top 10, low round 65. She has slipped to #42 in the Race to Dubai, and with Nelly Korda world #1, Brooke now has owgr #36.
With a Canadian record 13 wins, and and absolute top 10 trooper in her glittering career, most of 2024 and this year so far has seen all of her stats well below her lofty standards.
After stormy weather in the Houston area, and several weather issues affecting play especially on Thursday she has posted 72 73 75 +4 T58.
The lead is held by a Korean Haeran Ryu 65 74 68 -9 and a Chinese Mao Saigo 70 68 69 -9. (Ryu owgr #12, Saigo owgr #37)
Brooke's Olympic partner, now playing part time on the LPGA Tour, Alena Sharp T68 72 73 77 +6.
With two relatively unknown in North America players leading heading into the final round, the star players except Lexi Thompson are out of contention.

Lexi Thompson hits her driver during the second round of the Chevron Championship.
In with a chance on a crowded leaderboard , none of Lindy Grant T3 -8, Sarah Schmelzel T4 -7, Lexi Thompson T6 -6 are in the world top 50, although a Lexi comeback win in America would provide the cinderella story TV would dearly love.
STARS out of contention
Defending champion Nelly Korda #1 T36 E, Lydia Ko #3 T58 +4, Lilia Vu #4 T74 +7, Jin Young Ko #11 T19 -3, Jeeno Thitikul #2 T38 +1.
With Charley Hull #10, Celine Boutier #15, Patty Tavatanakit #25, and Hannah Green #5 all missing the cut, the Sunday final round is wide open.
