This RSM Classic in Sea Island Georgia, is the last official PGA Tour event before the 6 week Christmas break and while the best in the world are elsewhere or already off, there is plenty to play for and the 3 way tie for the lead reflects just that.
Harry Higgs 67 63 -12 lost his card last year, Cole Hammer 64 66 -12 has no status, in just his 2nd PGA Tour event and Andrew Putnam hasn't won since 2018 and has conditional status.
A win wipes out all of their status wipes, 2 years fully exempt, $1m+ in their jeans and a trip to Hawaii in January for the Tournament of Champions amongst other perks.
While Corey Connors has accepted an invite to play in the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament in Japan his Presidents Cup colleague Taylor Pendrith leads the Canadian contingent 69 66 -7 T19.
Adam Svensson 73 64 -5 T36 is also in while former champion Mac Hughes 71 68 -3 and Michael Gligic 73 72 +3 both went home early after missing the cut at -4.
