LPGA : Pelican Women's Open
Tropical storm Nicole blew through the Belleair area of Florida on Thursday, closing schools and business's with high winds and heavy rain forcing the LPGA to cancel round one and shorten this Pelican Women's Open event to 54 holes. Belleair Beach is just south of Clearwater on Florida's Gulf Coast.
I checked the weather this morning and the worst of the storm has blown through the state, and play got underway at 6.55am. The rest of the weekend's weather is mainly sunny and warm.
All 4 Canadians are on course early in their rounds, Brooke Henderson, Maude Aimee Leblanc, Alena Sharp and Maddie Szeryk.
