Japan Golf Tour : Dunlop Phoenix Tournament leaderboard here
One of the perks of being ranked in the worlds top 32 is you will receive invites to play in events far from your normal schedule, with of course the all important ahem ahem "appearance fee"
In 2021 Corey Connors and Mac Hughes represented Canada at the Olympic Golf Tournament in Japan and this week, with the PGA Tour in it's wrap around season, this week Corey flew out to Japan to play in the iconic Dunlop Phoenix Tournament, as the Japan Tour winds down for the year.
Its an 84 man invitational with no cut and Corey( 32) is one of 4 of the worlds top 50 in the field with Aaron Wise (34) and Mito Pereira (46), Tom Kim from Korea is ranked #14.
After 36 holes Connors was T6 67 69 -6 just 3 shots off the lead with round 3 underway, it was suspended due to inclimate weather.
When play resumed Corey went on to post -1 70 and at -7 through 3 rounds he is T12.
The leader 69 65 65 -14 is a Japanese golfer Higa Kasuki
