Nick Taylor began with an eagle 3 on his opening hole, added two birdies going out in 33, then had 4 more to come home in 30 for a -8 63 on the Monterey Peninsula course to take a two shot lead after round one of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am.
The rest of the Canadian contingent have some catching up to do: Michael Gligic E 72 on Spyglass, Adam Hadwin +2 74 Spyglass, Mac Hughes +2 74 Pebble Beach and David Hearn +3 75 Spyglass.
Defending champion Phil Mickelson -4 68 on Spyglass continuing his fine play where he T3 at the Saudi International.
