Sweden's Pelle Edberg spent much of his winter practising at this Black Mountain GC which has Swedish ownership, so he has what they call an affiliation here. His local knowledge is paying off as he seeks a first European Tour win at the 200th attempt
This morning he kept up his birdie barrage to share the lead of the True Thailand Classic going into the weekend.
Yesterday I reported he made made nine birdies for a -7 65 and he made seven more today for -5 67 to get to -12 under along with Aussie Scott Hend who equalled the low round of the day with his -8 64.
They are one shot clear of Thailand's Panuphol Pittayarat who had a splendid -7 65 and two ahead of American David Lipsky (68), South African Shaun Norris (68) and Scot Simon Yates (68) who lives locally in Hua Hin so knows the course well.
