Adam Scott shares clubhouse lead at the Arnold Palmer Invitational

PGA Tour Arnold Palmer Invitational leaderboard http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/arnold-palmer-invitational-presented-by-mastercard/leaderboard.html

Hands up, who is the defending champion at Bay Hill this week ??

A few years ago you'd be safe to say Tiger, he has won it 6 times !! The unlikely answer is Matt Every, who not only won in 2015 but 2014. On both occasions he had absolutely no form coming in and that is his story again this year.

However the course specialist is paired with Rory and Kevin Kisner in the featured afternoon pairing.

Five of the top 10 have shown up to pay respect to the ailing host, who has been out in his cart on the driving range, and holding court upstairs in his lodge office.

His speech is becoming slurred so all his interviews so far have been pre taped so the editors can clean them up, but as I said I'm sure he'll be there one way or another to greet the winner at the 18th come Sunday afternoon.

******* With play under way Adam Scott is off to another great start and he shares the clubhouse lead after an early -5 67. He of course has won the last 2 tournaments in Florida and is the hottest player heading into Augusta.

Adam Hadwin is 2 shots off the lead after his -3 69 and David Hearn is in the late wave.
