Spieth takes the spotlight again in Texas...DeLaet, Mickelson disappoint..

PGA Tour Shell Houston Open scoreboard http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=pga

He is the hottest player in the men's game right now with a first and a second in his last 2 outings and now a lead going into Sunday in front of another adoring Texas crowd.

21 year old Texan, Jordan Spieth added a -5 67 to go with 69 66 to get it to -14 and a one shot lead over Johnson Wagner 66 Scott Piercy 66 and Austin Cook 70 all at -13..

Spieth started the day three shots off the lead, but he took over with another sub par round highlighted by a birdie putt across the green at the 16th. On form he is the favourite going into the Masters, the win would move him to world #2. He won the Valspar in Florida, was 2nd at the Valero in Texas and now this..

Cook is a Monday qualifier, Johnson got his first pro win here in 2008 and Piercy tied the course record with a 63 in the opening round, and his 66 equaled Wagner for the low third-round score. All 3 would get to Augusta with the win.

Shawn Stefani 69 is next at -12 then a pair of Englishmen Paul Casey 68 and Kelvin Day 68.

Two of the day's biggest disappointments were 3 over 75's for Graham DeLaet and Phil Mickelson. Mickelson was in the water for a double at #6 and added four bogeys over his final five holes, while DeLaet had 6 bogeys in his errant round, spoiling his chances of going to Augusta...
