europeantour.com : Sergio Garcia and fellow Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal have just birdied their 1st playoff hole the par 5 18th after great drives, towering 3 woods, closely missed eagle putts and tap in birdies..
They are back on the tee now at 18 again.. Garcia's drive carried the water hazard on the corner but finished in the left hand rough. Larrazabal straight down the middle. Larrazabal found the green and Garcia's second was fired out of the tricky lie with a wood, skipped over the bunker into some rough just off the green.Garcia chipped close as Larrazabal laid his putt stone dead so again both players make birdie 4s.
Now off to the par 3 12th
Garcia's tee shot at little long and left and finishes on the fringe. Larrazabal finds the green about 15 feet away. Garcia's putt looked in but lips out. Larrazabal misses 15 footer off to 4th playoff hole, the 17th par 3
Par 3 17th
Garcia hits a great tee shot pin high 15 feet left followed by Larrazabal who's straighter tee shot finishes about 12 behind the hole
Garcia pushes his putt and taps in for a 3. Larrazabal also misses right, hole halved in 3.
par 5 18th again..
Sergio just avoids going in the fairway bunker, Pablo down the middle..
Garcia hits a magnificent 3-Wood from the edge of the bunker and is followed by Larrazabal who leaks his approach a little right but still on the green. Larrazabal lays hit 22 yard putt close to the hole. Garcia's putt shaves the hole but runs a good 4 feet past. Garcia's putt lips out and Larrazabal holes out for victory.
