pgatour.com...Clearly Robert Karlsson has some good mojo in Memphis, and a liking for the golf course. Last year, he was a runner-up there and through two rounds this year is in the clubhouse at -9 with just two bogeys.
Friday, Karlsson went out in 31, starting on the back nine, with four birdies and no bogeys on his way to a 65. Karlsson has now had six straight rounds under par there dating back to last year.
“I like this golf course and I played quite well over two days, and I scored well and I just like this place,” Karlsson said. “I don’t know what to say more.”
Three Canucks made the cut which fell at +2..Nice to see Stephen Ames in contention for the weekend..

Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn
Rock Barn Golf & Spa
Conover, N.C.
There is of course no cut on the Champions Tour and there are only 3 shots between Bob Tway -9 63 in 1st and 10th place. Mike Goodes went out in 28 strokes but stalled on the back nine after we all were thinking of the magical 59, but still he is T2 with a -8 64...
Our lone Canuck, Rod Spittle shot a decent -1 71, but the scoring was so low on the Rock Barn course that he is T59..

The Rex Hospital Open
TPC Wakefield Plantation

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Scott Brown figures he's overdue. The 28-year-old from South Carolina began The Rex Hospital Open last year with a course record-tying 9-under 62. He was tied for sixth place after 54 holes but never got the chance to try and catch the leader because rain wiped out the final round.
Friday he shot -8 63 to top Texan Martin Flores (67) by one shot. Kyle Thompson, winner of this event in 2007, shot a 66 and is tied for third at 8-under par along with Ryan Armour, who matched his career-best finish with a T2 at last week's Melwood Prince George's County Open.
Jon Mills made 71,70 -1 made the cut on the number while Richard Lee and Bryan DeCorso (dq) did not..
