Hjorth wins Tour Championship as LPGA awards are settled

Veteran Swedish golfer Maria Hjorth got up and down from a green side bunker with a clutch 10 foot putt on the 72nd green to edge Amy Yang who despite a brilliant birdie  moments before Hjorth, couldn't overcome the quadruple bogey 8 she took on the 3rd hole at this Grand Cypress course in Orlando Florida on a sunny cool breezy Sunday.

Meldrum's finish, her best this year  moves her up to 106 on the money list which means she will not have to go to LPGA Q school as she is inside the top 120.

Alena Sharp also played the final round but was  disqualified for changing a score on her card without official approval

She wrote 4 rather than 5 on her card, then rubbed it out and changed it which is an LPGA no no....

Her 4th round of 72 was DQ and she was placed 34th which cost her around $6,000
