Eddie Pepperell's 67 may be good enough to win 147th Open

147th Open leaderboard https://www.theopen.com/Leaderboard#!/traditional

If you are not watching, Carnoustie, aided and abetted by a wind gusting to 25kph is showing all her teeth and as a result scores are soaring and the leaderboard is changing by the minute.

One thing is for sure, Eddie Pepperall posted the low score of the day so far -4 67, and is in the clubhouse with a -5 279 total that is currently T4.

However when you check my scoreboard link, you'll see he is just a shot or two off the lead.

Tiger just made his first double bogey of the week at the par 4 11th to fall out of the lead, and there are 11 players within 2 shots of each other.

The lead is -6 held by 4 players, Spieth, Molinari, Chappell and Kisner.

Remember Spieth and Schauffele are last out so have the most holes to play, when it comes down to the final green. Birdies are rare, pars are great and Molinari has made 11 straight, with no bogey's !

Buckle up !

Bryan Angus
