This week the Euro Tour moves to the beautiful Diamond Country Club in Austria where Bernd Wiesberger is the homeland headliner in what is a mediocre field at best. Unfortunately he had a terrible day, coming in with a +8 79.
A flawless seven under par 65, saw Grégory Bourdy move into a commanding two shot lead.
The Frenchman, who won the last of his four European Tour titles in Wales two years ago, carded seven birdies in near-perfect conditions for the lead over in-form German Max Kieffer, Spain’s Carlos Del Moral and English pair Robert Dinwiddie and Chris Wood.
Del Moral and Dinwiddie have both fluctuated between The European Tour and Challenge Tour in recent seasons, and the pair currently lie well outside the top 110 on The Race to Dubai who will keep their cards.
Dinwiddie is playing this season on a medical exemption after missing much of 2014 through injury, and was pleased to post his best European Tour score for two years a week after making his first cut of 2015 in Sweden.
