The other Woods leads the Manulife in Cambridge !

LPGA Tour Manulife LPGA Classic scoreboard http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/manulife-lpga-classic/leaderboard

He has 74 wins world wide not to mention 14 majors, she has 1. Still her last name is Woods, she is his niece which means she gets much more attention than the average LPGA member, but yesterday her game merited all of the hype.

Cheyenne Woods, Cristie Kerr and P.K. Kongkraphan matched the course record at -9 63 to share the first-round lead in the Manulife LPGA Classic.

On a calm, warm sunny morning Woods had an eagle, eight birdies and a bogey and only 16 putts. Meanwhile the much more experienced Kerr had 10 birdies and a bogey, playing her front nine in a career-best -7, 29.  Kongkraphan, from Thailand, also had 10 birdies and a bogey.

Getting all the pre tournament attention was Brooke Henderson and her older sister Brittany. Brooke had a 71 with the crowd chanting “Go Canada Go!” while Brittany opened with a 72. Alena Sharp is the top Canadian at -5 67

This event is very well promoted, we get missives from the organizing staff all year leading up to this week, and with most of the LPGA's best showing up and a strong sponsor in Manulife who are based in Waterloo, it has grown into one of the tour's best stops. The tournament is in its first year at Whistle Bear in Cambridge after three years at Grey Silo in Waterloo.
