Tigers Chevron Invitational.. WHO'S INVITED ??

It's only an 18 man field, all invites, but 3 of the 4 major winners are not here, nor are many other big names who are chasing golf titles in the far and middle east like Hong Kong this week...

TV will give this a lot of pub because Tiger is playing but it is just an exhibition...

Here is the Jason Logan Scoregolf report
Tiger Woods’s Chevron World Challenge an 18-man event, grants spots to the defending champion, the year’s four major winners, the top 11 available (meaning willing to play) from the OWGR and two additional players (exemptions) ranked inside the world top 50. This year’s field is without the defending champion (Graeme McDowell) and three of the four major winners (Charl Schwartzel, Rory McIlroy and Darren Clarke). And it needed to be rounded out by including four players ranked between 40 and 50 in the world — Martin Laird, Jim Furyk, Zach Johnson and Gary Woodland. Oh, and the tournament host needed one of those two exemptions. Ouch
