With the Copperhead course playing tough, and the lead just -7 almost anyone who made the cut has a chance over the next 36 holes.
Adam Hadwin got off to a rough start with a triple and a bogey in his first 4 holes, and never recovered adding a bogey and a double on his back nine to miss the cut 69 76 +3
Michael Gligic's woes this year continued, although he improved his 2nd round, but missed another cut 76 69 +3.
Jordan Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood are in the group at -5, Justin Thomas is at -3, two time champion Sam Burns is at E.

The senior circuit have flown out to Newport Beach, California for the Hoag Classic and Mike Weir had a sharp bogey free opening round -6 65 just a shot off the lead.
Miguel Jimenez, Chris DiMarco and Bernhard Langer all shot -7 64.
Stephen Ames is T28 -2 69.
