Friday night and all 16 groups have been decided after a memorable last day of Round robin.
Only 1 Canadian is through...
Group 12: Mac Hughes 2-1-1 beat Taylor Montgomery 6&4 to tie the group after making 4 birdies in their last 5 holes.
Then he won it with a birdie 3 on the 1st playoff hole after Montgomery's drive sliced right into the trees
This is what he had to say about waiting for the playoff. "There was a part of me that said lets go straight to 15 and play,, but I knew the format said we had to wait so I was ready for that. It felt nice to carry that momentum into the playoff and stay on the aggressive.
Group 15: Corey Connors (2-1-0) was 4up on Davis Thompson until a late run by the American got it down to 2up, and Corey closed it on the 17th with a par 2&1
However Cameron Young beat Sepp Straka to win the group undefeated 3-0-0
Nick Taylor beat KH Lee 3&2 to finish 1-2-0
Adam Hadwin beat Adam Scott 3&2 to finish 1-2-0
Adam Svensson lost to Victor Perez 5&4 to finish 0-2-1
Now onto the Saturday morning "Sweet 16" Match play knockout..
