After another hot, sunny, breezy Florida day in Ponte Verde, a cold front moved through in the late afternoon bringing the rain, and play was suspended for the day at 4.30pm, with players returning this morning at 7am to finish their 2nd rounds.
As it stood before play this morning, there were 3 Canadians in the top10.
Adam Svensson opened with -4 68 and was -4 on his Friday round through 11 holes, he began on #10, and is tied for the lead at -8 with the veteran South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout who has played 14.
update : Adam made a bogey on the par3 3rd, but birdies at 5 and 9 back in 33 for -5 67 and he leads at -9 after 3 rounds.

"I'm just going to get some good rest and stay focused and keep having some fun. It's been great, hitting lots of fairways and greens, putting well, playing safe, being aggressive when I can"
Taylor Pendrith who opened with a 67 is T6 -5 and is E through 13 holes.
"I've been playing steady I would say, lots of pars, haven't had a lot of good looks at birdie today with the wind blowing from a different direction, it was pretty tricky"
update : Taylor began at the 14th with 4 pars and a bogey at the par3 17th. Shot 73 T9 at -4.

Adam Hadwin began with a 71 and is T8 -4 having gone -3 through 8 holes before play was stopped.
update : Adam began this morning birdie 4 at the 9th, then made 3 bogey's 10,12 and 14 before a bounce back birdie at par5 16th. Pars at 17,18 for a -2 70. He begins rd3 T16 -3.

Corey Connors opened +3 75 and is -1 through 12 holes playing the back nine first T68 +2
update: with 2 bogey's and a double this morning, Corey missed the cut 75 75 T108 +6
Nick Taylor had a +2 74 on Thursday and is +2 through 12 holes T98 +4 he also began on #10.
update: Nick made 2 bogeys and a double on his return for a 75 T98 +5 to miss the cut
Mac Hughes is also T91 +4 after starting with 75 he is +1 through 9 holes with the front nine to play this morning.
update : Mac made a double and a bogey to finish T116 75 76 +7 for a missed cut
Rory McIlroy is at T102 +5 with 8 holes left and Jon Rahm has caught a stomach bug and had to WD.
