Cockerill well back in his return Magical Kenya Open

DP World Tour : Magical Kenya Open

American John Catlin and South African Dylan Mostert both 7 64 have the opening round lead at this breezy Magical Kenyan Open on this high altitude Muthaiga GC (1650 meters higher than Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland).

Catlin is a long time friend of Kurt Kitayama both from California, having played on tours around the world in Canada, Asia and the DP World Tour with him.

He talked about what a great wind player Kitayama has become, something that explains his fine play at Bay Hill, and also how his win gives inspiration to all the rank and file not considered among golf's elite.

Canadian Aaron Cockerill was pretty steady but with 3 bogey's and 2 birdies, all the rest pars for +1 72 he is well back T96, so will need to be better on Friday to make the cut. He is currently ranked #379 in the world and T2 here last year.
